A variety of electrode sizes are available for Pallidotomy, Thalamotomy, and Cingulotomy. Compatible with stereotactic frames from major manufacturers, such as the Radionics® CRW frame.
The TC radiofrequency electrodes are available in a variety of standard shaft lengths, diameters, and tip lengths, and are compatible with major stereotactic frames, such as the Radionics® CRW®. Each electrode has an insulated shaft except for an uninsulated electrode tip. The exposed tip has a rounded end and a built-in thermocouple (TC) temperature sensor for thermal monitoring of the RF lesion process.
The TC Electrodes were designed by Bernard J. Cosman, MS and Eric R. Cosman, PhD and have been used successfully in Functional Neurosurgery for decades.
Special electrode tip sizes and shapes are available upon request.
The TC Electrode comes with a metal protective tube for storage and sterilization. Accessories are available separately. The TC-CASE-N is to store and sterilize TC Electrodes with their tubes, Cables, Depth Stops, Guide Tubes, and other accessories. Reducing Tubes and Drills are also available.
